The air smells like winter The air smells like winter.

You know that winter smell? It’s crisp and cold. Refreshing. Even if there is no snow on the ground, that smell makes it feel like there is. Just close your eyes and imagine that it is there. For me, it brings feelings of nostalgia. I remember stomping around in 3 feet of snow in central New York at the age of 4, almost disappearing under the sticky white perfect-for-snowmen snow that falls around there.

I remember Christmases past, going to Nana and Papa’s house on Christmas Eve, Aunt Ellie and Uncle Sam’s afterwards to have dinner and read a book in the corner as all my relatives talked to
